Midjourney has just rolled out two exciting new features for moodboards that will take your creative projects to the next level. You can now use multiple moodboard codes together and mix moodboard codes with sref codes.

Let’s dive into how you can make the most of these new capabilities.

What Are Moodboards?

Moodboards are visual tools that help you collect and organize images representing a specific style, theme, or concept. They serve as a source of inspiration and guide the AI to generate images that align with your chosen aesthetic. With Midjourney’s new features, you have even more flexibility to create personalized and unique images.

How to Create Moodboards

Creating moodboards in Midjourney is simple and fun. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Access the Personalize Page:
  • Go to the Personalize page on the Midjourney website.

2. Upload Images:

  • You can upload images from your device, add images from URLs, or select images from your Midjourney gallery.

3. Organize Your Moodboard:

  • Arrange the images to reflect your desired style or theme. You can create multiple moodboards for different projects or concepts.
  • I have created four moodboards , #1 ,#4 ,#5 and , #6

4. Save and Use Your Moodboard:

  • Save your moodboard and use the generated moodboard code in your prompts to guide the AI in creating images that match your vision.
  • Here, the moodboard code for #1 is — p m7267720883026788363 ,moodboard code for # 4 is — p m7280431104857735194, moodboard code for # 5 is — p m7280639460197269545 and moodboard code for # 6 is — p m7280639715772989455.

The moodboards #1 and #4 are collection of various images and #5 with a pink tinch and #6 with a dull, snow composition.

Using Multiple Moodboard Codes Together

Combining multiple moodboard codes allows you to blend different styles and themes seamlessly.

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Identify Your Moodboard Codes
  • I have created four moodboard codes: moodboard # 1 and moodboard # 4. The the moodboard code for #1 is — p m7267720883026788363, moodboard code for # 4 is — p m7280431104857735194, moodboard code for # 5 is — p m7280639460197269545 and moodboard code for # 6 is — p m7280639715772989455

2. Create Your Prompt

  • I combined the moodboard codes in a single prompt like this:

/imagine prompt: A serene beach at sunset — p [moodboard # 1 moodboard # 4]m7267720883026788363 m7280431104857735194

/imagine prompt: A serene beach at sunset — p [moodboard # 5 moodboard # 6 ] m7280639460197269545 m7280639715772989455

See the results. using the same prompt I have created images without using moodboards and with moodboards.

Also, I tried using the four moodboards separately, the results were completely different compared to when used them together.

By using multiple moodboard codes, you can create a more nuanced and layered visual experience.
